Stop Hating on Influencers Just Because You're Jealous

Dear Diary,

Whether you're a marketing student or not, it's no secret that Instagram is the golden ticket when it comes to personal branding. And when it comes to personal branding, influencers are THE masters.


Yes, we may make fun of them, or say how silly it is to hear 'I'm really working on just like content creation right now," but you have to admit: We all kind of want to be them. From fitness, to fashion, to foodies, influencers have been taking over the marketing industry and our generation is here for it.


Now, let us indulge in the lavish lives that influencers capture daily. Here are just a few that I follow.

Ashley aka Best Dressed 

I'm not super into YouTube but Best Dressed is one of the few youtubers/influencers that I LOVE. She mainly sticks to fashion, creating look books, giving out styling tips, and even talks about thrifting! She recently started her own brand of accessories and has over 2 million subscribers on Youtube. Take a look at part of her feed, like can you say aesthetic?

FIT with CAMBRIE

As a busy college student, I never work out. I obviously could find a way to make time, but I just choose to follow fitness Instagrams instead. Fit with Cambrie is a food and fitness blogger who sells fitness products, meal plans, merch, OH and she has her own fashion line? Like okay, she's got it down. 

     

Jay Alvarez 

Ahhh, Jay Alvarez. I would say he's a travel influencer but I also don't really know how much he contributes to society. He basically just posts pictures of him in like Greece and other bucket list places of him jumping out of planes. More recently though, he has been promoting the brand Douchebags, which is a company the sells travel gear like backpacks and such.

    

I hope you guys realize that influencer marketing is the up and coming move and you will for sure be seeing more of this! So next time you see an influencer on your explore page, look at it from a ~business~ perspective. And if you see me trying to promote brands and social media...mind your business.

Interesting post and nice blog, Madison!

in Italy the most famous influencer is Chiara Ferragni. She started to post on Istagram her outfit and now she has a personal fashion brend.
